When a posse of Fortune 500s came knocking at HireCalling’s door wanting to play, HireCalling company leaders needed to corral their fleet, ramp up cyber security, and scale up headcount, but fast. They turned to Ignition.

The Problem

HireCalling’s product and ethos became super-attractive to 40 Fortune 500 companies, but they had a trio of challenges to tackle before jumping in. They needed:

  • To hire fast and furious while keeping things smooth and professional to retain top talent.
  • To tighten and demonstrate their cybersecurity game, to meet all the contractual legals for the Fortune 500s.
  • To spend less time and brainpower on IT admin and more time making their product even bigger and better.

The Challenges

  • Historically, onboarding had been overly individualized, allowing new hires to set up their own laptops. This created a fleet of disparate systems and zero standardization.
  • The need for speedy security: pressure from potential clients meant HireCalling had to demonstrate compliance quickly.

The Project

Phase 1A: Security Through MDM 

We wrangled all of HireCalling's devices into a centralized, manageable fleet via an MDM platform. This allowed us to standardize, configure, and lock in security settings while we enabled a monitoring regime to shoot off alerts to Ignition's Security Operations Center if any device tried to break the rules.

Phase 1B: Faster, Better Hiring Through Automated Onboarding 

With the fleet under control, it was time to create a streamlined onboarding checklist and deploy automated onboarding & offboarding by connecting the MDM platform to Apple's Business Manager and Device Enrollment Program. 

Phase 2: Federated Connectivity and Security Through Cloud SSO

We ramped up security even further by implementing a strong front door to cloud apps,  activating multi-factor authentication, and role-based provisioning, for access control.

  • Efficiency benefits: offboarding time reduced from hours to 5 minutes.
  • Bigger market potential: HireCalling’s tighter security and efficiency means they can compete for larger contracts.
  • Client confidence: HireCalling demonstrates it can keep their clients’ promises.
